*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT*

More information, as well as a special offer for you, on this at the end of the read!
But for now, thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoy! <3
As I’m sure most of us with ADHD often do, I have been thinking (and beating myself up) a lot about the idea of consistency.
ESPECIALLY in recent months, where I have felt the most inconsistent than any time I can remember.
Even those of you reading this newsletter haven’t heard from me since APRIL!
HOLY CRAP, WHERE DID ALL THAT TIME GO?!?
Why am sharing this with you now? For several reasons:
Those of us in the U.S. are coming off of a holiday weekend and may be struggling to get back into a rhythm or routine.
So that you know that you are not alone.
To present an opportunity to share what I’ve learned.
So that, even though I know I have failed at being “consistent,” that doesn’t mean I have to give up.
So…what have I done over the last 6 months, where consistency has been futile?
I have focused on sustainability!
What’s the difference between consistency and sustainability?
Great question! Here are some definitions brought to you by Google (not an ad):
Sustainability: the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level.
Consistency: the achievement of a level of performance that does not vary greatly in quality over time.
How do those feel to you?
To me, sustainability feels “light” and doable. Consistency sounds “heavy” and like what all of my report cards or performance reviews have said I am uncapable of for my entire life.
The most common thing my clients (and the ADHD community, in general) want tips and strategies on is being more consistent! What if I told you that one of the most powerful tools for ADHDers is the ability to be intentional with your verbage?
We must be careful with what we are telling ourselves. ADHDers are very susceptible to toxic and intrusive thoughts!
Even as I’m writing this, I find myself thinking things like:
“This newsletter doesn’t flow right.”
“No one asked for you to write this.”
“People are going to judge me for talking about consistency because I’m inconsistent.”
“I haven’t written in months, so what’s the point?”
“The people reading this don’t even remember who you are.”
Lastly! I am excited to share with you the tools that have worked for me and my clients and have helped us find success and sustainability in our lives and habits!
Join me in my upcoming course,”Sustainability vs. Consistency: How to Consistently Build Sustainable Habits with ADHD,” on December 12th from 3:30pm-5:00pm EST!
